User Guide

When you join an AutoRoom Source, a new AutoRoom will be created and you will be moved into it. You are considered the AutoRoom Owner for this AutoRoom, and are able to modify it in a variety of ways by using the /vc command. Below are the commands you have available.

Info
#

To see all of the current info about an AutoRoom you are in, use the /vc info command. It will list the current settings, as well as the AutoRoom Owner and the age of the AutoRoom. Unlike most other /vc commands, this one doesn’t require you to be the AutoRoom Owner to use it.

Access
#

When your AutoRoom is created, it will have a default access setting that can be seen with the /vc info command. They are as follows:

Type Description
Open The AutoRoom is visible and joinable by everyone
Locked The AutoRoom is visible, but not joinable by anyone
Hidden The AutoRoom is not visible or joinable by anyone (premium only)

Simply use /vc open, /vc lock, or /vc hide to switch your AutoRoom between these access modes. On premium servers, the server managers are able to disable access types, preventing you from switching to them. On non-premium servers, you will always be able to switch between open and locked.

Access Control
#

You can control who is allowed in your AutoRoom by using the following commands:

Command Description
/vc allow member Allow a member into your AutoRoom
/vc allow role Allow an entire role into your AutoRoom
/vc deny member Deny and kick a member from your AutoRoom
/vc deny role Deny and kick a role from your AutoRoom

Allowing members and roles gives them (or anyone with the role) the permission to join your AutoRoom. You would primarily use this if your AutoRoom was locked or hidden. If a user or role is not allowed to connect to the AutoRoom Source your AutoRoom was made from (as in, the user or role could not make thier own AutoRoom), you will not be able to allow them into your AutoRoom.

Denying members will prevent them from being able to join your AutoRoom. If they are currently in your AutoRoom when you deny them, they will be kicked automatically. On non-premium servers, they can still see your AutoRoom, but can’t join it. On premium servers, assuming hidden wasn’t disabled, they will not be able to see your AutoRoom.

Denying roles should prevent everyone with a specific role from being able to join your AutoRoom. There are some exceptions though, due to how Discord roles work. If a user has any other role that is allowed to join still, they will not be kicked. This is mainly a problem with servers that have member roles.

Details
#

You can use the following commands to modify the details of your AutoRoom:

Command Description
/vc name Change the name of your AutoRoom
/vc limit Change the user limit of your AutoRoom
/vc bitrate Change the bitrate of your AutoRoom (premium only)
/vc nsfw Enable or disable the NSFW flag of your AutoRoom (premium only)

On premium servers, the server managers are able to disable these modifications if they so choose. On non-premium servers, you will always be able to modify the name and limit.

Claim
#

If the AutoRoom Owner (shown in /vc info) leaves the AutoRoom, anyone else in the AutoRoom can use the /vc claim command (after a short delay) to claim ownership of the AutoRoom. They will then become the AutoRoom Owner, and are able to use the above commands to modify their AutoRoom.
